Purpose
Under the overall supervision of Director (Strategic Partnerships), the Associate (Resource Mobilization) plays a key role in the provision of end-to-end support for acquiring new resources, including but not limited to expanding partnerships; preparing proposals; supporting academic tie-ups; and building and maintaining a base of knowledge about existing projects and partners at Indev.
The Advisor (Impact and Partnerships) at Indev is committed to providing the Associate with the training, guidance, and support necessary to complete the below duties and responsibilities effectively. This will include, but not be limited to, scheduled meetings (weekly) to assess progress, systems training (where required), and guidelines specific to proposals.

New Partnership Facilitation
- Analyze and enhance existing approaches for identifying and mapping potential partnerships, ensuring comprehensive documentation of the processes.
- Develop and implement a robust tracking system for potential and ongoing partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Director and Advisor to streamline partnership formalization procedures, including drafting and managing MoUs/AoAs.
- Foster symbiotic relationships by working with technology and project teams to define mutually beneficial partnership contours.
- Lead follow-ups with potential partners to ensure timely formalization of partnerships.
- Create targeted communication materials to highlight finalized partnerships and disseminate them across relevant channels.
- Engagement: 15%.
Maintaining Existing Partnerships
- Establish and manage a standardized system for mapping, monitoring, and tracking existing partnerships.
- Liaise with project and technical teams to maintain and regularly update a comprehensive database of ongoing partnerships, including progress and outcomes.
- Design and implement procedures for strengthening relationships with existing partners, ensuring alignment with their needs and expectations.
- Create a systematic feedback mechanism to gather testimonials and insights from partners for continuous improvement.
- Ensure seamless communication with partners, fostering trust and long-term collaboration.
- Engagement: 15%.
Resource Mobilization
- Design a structured approach for identifying and tracking relevant RFPs, tenders, and funding opportunities, ensuring alignment with Indev’s strategic objectives.
- Work closely with project and technical teams to extract key insights and inputs for developing competitive and impactful proposals.
- Coordinate end-to-end proposal development, from conceptualization and drafting to submission, adhering to donor requirements and deadlines.
- Maintain an updated repository of organizational achievements, case studies, and project learnings to support proposal narratives.
- Strengthen internal systems for resource mobilization by implementing standardized templates and guidelines for RFP responses.
- Engagement: 50%.
Other Support Work
- Provide in-situ support to optimize and document systems related to resource mobilization, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process gaps and recommend actionable solutions for enhancing resource mobilization efforts.
- Facilitate periodic training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops to build internal capacity for effective resource mobilization.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of resource mobilization systems and recommend improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Engagement: 20%.
Institutional Arrangement
The Resource Mobilization Associate will work under the overall supervision of the Director (Strategic Partnerships) and collaborate closely with the Advisor (Impact and Partnerships) for guidance and capacity building.
Required Skills and Experience
Required Skills and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. Candidates with an undergraduate background in social work, rural development, management, or related fields will have an advantage.
- A postgraduate qualification in fields such as social work, rural development, management, or other relevant areas is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
Experience
- For undergraduate applicants, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in roles involving partnership management, resource mobilization, or strategic communication in the development sector.
- For postgraduate applicants, at least 1 year of professional experience in similar roles, demonstrating exposure to proposal development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic initiatives.
- Prior experience working with government agencies, multilateral organizations, CSRs, or NGOs is a strong plus, as is familiarity with writing and responding to RFPs in the development sector.
